Imams wear clothing made from angel feathers

`Ali ibn abi Talib (ra) says in the authentic narration, that the Prophet (saw) told him: “With regards to you two groups of people will perish, a group who loves you too much that they raise you above your level, and a group that hates you so much that they accuse you of falsehood.”

When we provide the Shia the authentic narrations of `Ali ibn abi Talib (ra), found in both our books and their books, and we tell them: “fear Allah and stop attributing fabricated stories to him and his household raising them to levels beyond prophets.”

They reply: “No no no, the narration is addressing those extremists who say he is a God, and the Sunnies who don’t believe in his Imamah out of hatred for him and love for his enemies.”

Although it is clear that the only ones who are on the middle course when it comes to `Ali (ra) and his family are Ahlul-Sunnah, while the Imami Shia and their likes attribute ridiculous things to him, such as the ability to do miracles, the infallibility, the limitless knowledge of past present and future, that he was created thousands of years before Adam (as), that all prophets seek his blessing, the ability to communicate with angels and animals etc… There’s a long list of weird extreme things which this sect attributes to `Ali (ra).

Yet they insist that the Hadith is talking about how Ahlul-Sunnah “hate `Ali” and a minority sect of Shia who attribute Godliness to him.

In this topic I just wish to show them how extreme and ridiculous their beliefs are so that they may realize what the above Hadith means and who is being referred to as “lovers of `Ali who raise him above his level.”

In al-Kafi 1/393 we read under the chapter title:

“Chapter: That the angels enter the Imam’s houses and walk on their mattresses and bring them the news.”

We read:

[Muhammad bin Yahya from Ahmad bin Muhammad from Muhammad bin Khalid from Muhammad bin al-Qasim from al-Husayn bin abi al-`Ala’ from abu `Abdillah (as) that he said: “O Husayn, -and he hit his hand on some pillows in his house- pillows that the angels have long softened for us and some times they leave us their own feathers.”]

al-Majlisi graded “Hasan” in al-Mir’aat 4/289.

On the same page we read:

[Muhammad from Ahmad bin Muhammad from `Ali bin al-Hakam he said: Malik bin `Atiyyah al-Ahmasi told me, from abu Hamzah al-Thumaly that he said: I entered on `Ali bin al-Husayn (as) and stayed in his house about an hour and when I entered I saw him catching something from behind the veil and giving it to whoever was inside the house, I asked: “May I be sacrificed for you, what is  it that you were catching?” He replied: “It is what remains from the feathers of the angels, we gather it and make patterned clothes from it for our children.” I asked: “They (angels) come to you?” He replied: “O aba Hamzah, they compete with us for space in our resting places.”]

al-Majlisi graded “Saheeh” in al-Mir’aat 4/290.

Seriously O Shia? You believe the Imams wear clothing made from the feathers of angels and want us to believe you’re not extremists? What exactly is extremism for you!?

al-Kafi 1/407:

[Muhammad bin Yahya from Ahmad bin Muhammad bin `Isa from ibn Mahboub from Hisham bin Salim from abu Khalid al-Kabily from abu `Abdillah (as): We found in the book of `Ali (as) that the earth belongs to Allah and he causes to inherit it whomever he wishes from among his servants, and the best outcome is for the righteous, (`Ali said): Me and my household are the ones who inherited the earth from Allah, and we are the righteous, and the earth, all of it is ours]

Majlisi graded “Hasan” 4/345.

As far as extremism is concerned, we just showed the very tip of the iceberg, this is but a microscopic sample of what is in their books. Tashayyu` today heavily relies on extremism and Ghuluw.

And concerning our first narration, I’d say the first group of people who will perish probably believe `Ali wore clothes of angel feathers and owned all the earth.

Don’t you?
