The following is a response to SlaveOfAhlubait’s “Holy prophet asws desire to bury ayesha (authentic narration)”. The article can be found on his blog and on the Wilayat website.
The article contains a narration that SlaveOfAhlubait implies is evidence that the Prophet – peace be upon him – hated A’isha. The narration goes as follows:
“ayesha says that the day the disease which caused death of holy prophet started, he came to my house and said: oh my headache, i also said oh my head; upon this holy prophet asws said: i wish what has to happen should happen in my life, and i prepare you well and bury you; i said: your intentions are something else, you will marry the same day and and spend night with lady; holy prophet asws said: oh my head! call your father and your brother so that i write letter for abu bakar because i fear that the one who would say will say, and the one who would desire would desire that i am more rightful to caliphate; and allah and all muslim will not accept anyone other than abu bakar
[musnad ahmad, urdu, vol 11, page 306]”
The narration is an obvious explicit merit for A’isha, because the Prophet – peace be upon him – is clearly stating that he would want to personally wash his dead wife, prepare her, and bury her. Is there are greater merit than this?
SlaveOfAhlubait is aware of this understanding since he has seen the narrations that are clearer about this. He says:
“We also find similar narration in urdu version, 11/518;”
Upon returning to that page, we find the following narration:
قَالَ مَا ضَرَّكِ لَوْ مِتِّ قَبْلِي فَغَسَّلْتُكِ وَكَفَّنْتُكِ ثُمَّ صَلَّيْتُ عَلَيْكِ وَدَفَنْتُكِ
He said: “How would dying before me harm you? I would wash you, prepare you, pray upon you, and bury you.”
Unfortunately for those that have had their hearts darkened by hating the wives of the Prophet – peace be upon him – , every narration that mentions A’isha is to be understood negatively.
