Response to: Imam Ali is the Best of Creation

The following is a response to SlaveOfAhlubait’s article entitled: “Imam Ali is the Best of Creation”. The article can be found here.

In this short article, SlaveOfAhlubait quote the following statement by Ibn Hajar:

Al-Bazzar recorded through the route of al-Sha’bi from Masruq, from Aisha, who said:
Allah’s Apostle, peace be upon him, mentioned the Khawarij and said, “They are the worst of my Ummah, AND THEY WILL BE FOUGHT BY THE BEST OF MY UMMAH.
Its chain is hasan.

However, the Hadith is weak. Al-Haythami comments: In it (the hadith), we find Ata’a bin Al-Sa’ib, who had ikhtilaat (become confused).

Also we add that this doesn’t even mean that `Ali alone is the best of creation, this encompasses all those soldiers in his army, it even encompasses bani Umayyah since they fought against the Khawarij much longer and many more times than `Ali.

  1. ِAll of these sources are not weak. As for your saying about Ali alone is not the best of the creation, he would not have said it then. He said it literally, or are you going to take the metaphorical meaning of it to sacrifice its true meaning to your logic?

    • First narration in “Shawahid al-Tanzeel” 2/459.
-It has al-Mundhir bin Muhammad bin al-Mundhir and he is weak. He is narrating from his father Muhammad bin al-Mundhir who is also weak. This guy narrates from his uncle al-Husayn ibn Sa`eed who is Munkar al-Hadith. At this point no need to verify the reliability of the other narrators, with a quick browse I easily found three terrible narrators in this chain.

You still have the audacity to start with such a weak narration and tell us “ِAll of these sources are not weak.” By Allah you lie!

Next narrations come from al-Durr al-Manthour 6/379, YET THE AUTHOR HIMSELF DOES NOT QUOTE THEIR CHAINS! Have you no shame? Telling people they’re authentic yet you post an Arabic text with its chain crossed out!?

-First one is claimed to be reported by ibn `Asakir, it is from the narration of Jabir, I checked its chain it has Muhammad bin Ishaq al-Qati`ee who is close to being Majhoul, he narrates it from al-Hasan bin Muhammad bin Yahya al-`Alawi who is accused of being a fabricator. So no it is incorrect what you said that “all of these narrations are not weak.”

-Ibn `Adi from ibn `Abbas one neither the source nor any book I found mentioning it has a chain, in other words it’s chainless thus weak.

-Third one is in Manaqib `Ali by ibn Marduwayh, it has abu al-Jaroud and it has no chain in the source itself, but after checking other books I found its chain and it has Muhammad bin Katheer al-Kufi, a liar.

As for the rest of your narrations which you copied and pasted from here:
      http://www.aqaed.com/faq/6069/

They are all similarly weak and pathetic but you Rafidhah have no shame so save me the time of commenting on them.

      • Those hadiths should have been checked by your own sheikhs as sahih or weak, then you can tell me if I lied, since I just brought them in right from your own books. Your sheikhs unfortunately made those weak because either one of the chain people is a Shia like Adi’ bin Thabit in this case or has someone whose ideas deviate according to you to Shiism. Yet we still use them to prove how those narrations sneaked in your books and still proved our claims in our books too.

        Like this one: http://library.islamweb.net/hadith/display_hbook.php?bk_no=717&hid=996&pid=354117

The list goes on great until it reaches Muhammad bin Kathir Al-Kufi. Why is he weakened? A Shia. Then the list goes on until it reaches Adi’ bin Thabit, this great man. Why? The problem does not lie in his authenticity; he is Thiqa according to Ahmad bin Hanbal. But the problem lies in his faith: a Shia.

One small comment: As if the Shia never existed, I wonder what this hadith can be classified as!

That is why we have Taqqiyah. That if a narration does not go with the Shia, it had to be in a situation that fits the Sunnis, and that situation is not to be taken as the true one.

        • There are no reasons to believe that this man was weakened simple because he is Shi’ee. As you are aware, there are hundreds of reliable Shias in our books of narrators, which is why your conclusion is baseless.
